From the Pee Dee, to “God’s Country”, to the Midlands, I’m back in my favorite part of South Carolina.
I’m from Florence, South Carolina and grew up there my entire life before heading off to college. My siblings and I are all two years apart – I have an older brother, Matthew, and a younger sister, Meredith making me the middle child.
Besides my mother pulling for UNC-Chapel Hill during basketball season, I grew up in a predominantly “South Carolina Gamecock” household. Once I understood the game of football, I quickly became the family outlier after deciding to pull for the Clemson Tigers. After attending my first home Clemson football game I knew that’s where I wanted to go. There truly was something in those hills.
Years later, I received my bachelor’s degree in Economics from Clemson University. Before graduating from Clemson, I began working on Governor Henry McMaster’s campaign as the Upstate Field Director in Greenville. Upon graduating in May of 2018, I continued this role throughout both the primary election and the run-off, however, switched gears entirely during the general election as I occupied a new role as the political scheduler for the campaign in Columbia.
I’m always looking for new challenges and love meeting new people. In my free time, I enjoy playing with my 12-week old Cocker Spaniel, attending Clemson Football games, and watching a good movie or television show, especially Game of Thrones.
I am excited about my role as the Government Affairs Manager here at the Greenville Chamber. This unique, yet exciting opportunity advocating for business allows me to apply my educational background and my experiences that I have gained throughout my college career and even thereafter to an area that is much larger than me. I am eager to see what the next few years have in store.
