May 23, 2018Meet Our Newest Team Member!
Hello, my name is Walker Seman and I am a rising junior at Furman University where I am working towards a degree in Economics. I am a member of the Kappa Chi chapter of the Sigma Nu fraternity, a member of both the Furman Men’s Soccer and Basketball Club teams, and involved as an intern for the Furman Athletic Department. I have lived in Greenville for 19 years now and I am thrilled about the opportunity to work for the Greenville Chamber.
This summer I have the privilege of being the Chamber’s Business Advocacy Intern. As such I will be assisting Jason and Katie with wrapping up the legislative session, researching and preparing the agenda for the upcoming legislative session, preparing for events and presentations, and any other day to day needs. Within my first week here I was able to go down to Columbia to watch one of the final days of the session at the State House as well as sit in on the UCC’s Congressional Candidate interviews. I am looking forward to other opportunities like these throughout my time here with the Chamber.
I love all sports, both playing and watching, and Furman keeps me busy with my studies. When I’m not on the field/court or in the library you might find me reading up on the latest news in international soccer, attempting to improve my personal best time for solving a Rubik cube, or watching a friend-recommended TV show on Netflix.
