Meet the Team: Zachary Heltsley, New Advocacy Intern

It’s the start of a new semester, which means we have a new intern joining the Coalition team. Please welcome…Zachary Heltsley! Here’s a little on the newest addition to our team:

Zachary Heltsley is President of the Public Policy Organization at Bob Jones University, where he majors in Communication with a minor in Political Science. The goal of his Public Policy Organization is to encourage students to become involved in the political process by starting a conversation that will lead to solutions-oriented thinking. “It is better, in my opinion, to be united as a community, and focus on helping others, than to cling to political affiliations that can be divisive due to the labels attached to them.” He is passionate about advocating for “practical, pragmatic solutions that benefit all Americans.”

Zachary is actively involved in the Greenville community, serving as an Executive Board Member for The Salvation Army’s young professional group, Echelon. Echelon’s goal is to inform young professionals of the mission of The Salvation Army. Zachary’s love of volunteering stems from his desire to “do the most good” for those around him.

Zachary is currently preparing to take the Law School Admissions Test (LSAT) in September and plans to attend law school upon graduation from Bob Jones University. He enjoys attending Clemson Football games, hanging out with friends, and has a personal goal of attending all thirty Major League Baseball Stadiums. Zachary is looking forward to helping Jason and Katie make an impact in the community this fall. He will be doing research, event planning, and running out for coffee! He is excited to be the Business Advocacy Intern, and can’t wait to meet you!

Join us in welcoming Zachary!

(Editor’s note: We don’t make interns go out for coffee… much.)
